The software language used for mobile devices.
The Java programming language is the best Object Oriented Programming language in the world. It was developed by Sun Microsystems and is the most ubiquitous standard for mobile communication devices like smart phones. Games that are programmed for smart phones are built using Java ME toolkit. Java is also used for creating enterprise applications because it is rigorous and is known as a strongly-typed language.
Commercial banks use Java to manage extremely important functions like account balances.
Java is used on traditional web site platforms in the form of an applet. In order to see the demonstration Java game applet on this page you must have the Java software installed in your browser. This is a free download and it is available here: Java.com . We recommend you install it because it makes an excellent addition to your browsing experience and it comes from a highly respected source.
How to play the game.
1. Collect the diamonds you need then head to the exit. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move your Player (The Eyeball).
2. Fireflies and Butterflies kill you on touch. You can kill them by pushing boulders on top of them. When a rock is dropped on a Butterfly it explodes into diamonds. Rocks that fall on you will kill you.
3. Click Restart (or Level) to refresh your screen with a new playing field. It takes about 30 seconds to load the game at the first screen.
The software used to create this game was written by Nick Andrews of WEBSOLUTIONS.TO. Though similar, it is not Boulder Dashtm and it is not for sale. It is presented as an example of multi-threaded gaming technology that was developed in-house. This type of programming can be used to create smart phone applications. The original Boulder Dash was a classic computer game originally played on devices like the Commodore 64 and Atari computers. Boulder Dash is available from FIRST STAR SOFTWARE. |
